GalaxEye

Category: Multi-sensor Earth Observation

Founded by a team of students and alumni of IIT Madras who were the only Asian finalists at the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition in 2019, GalaxEye is indigenously building the first-of-its-kind multi-sensor imaging satellites. With their ability to capture high-resolution images from multiple sensors – both optical and radar – these satellites can track crop growth, aquaculture pond health, detect troop movements and military camouflage and much more in adverse weather, light and dense foliage conditions. Bundled with their AI solutions, GalaxEye’s satellite imagery is now being used to optimize operations and improve profitability in the aquaculture industry.

GalaxEye’s 1st satellite, Mission Drishti, was launched on 3rd May 2026.
